The morning sun filtered through the blinds, casting long, dancing shadows on the bedroom wall. To Abhiraj, it was a familiar sight, a prelude to another ordinary day. But as consciousness slowly seeped into his mind, something was drastically a mess. A soft, rhythmic breathing filled the room, and the weight of another body pressed against his. His eyes snapped open.
His heart pounded in his chest as he took in the scene. A woman, a stranger, was curled up beside him, her head resting on his arm. For a split second, he thought it was Kavya, his girlfriend. But as his vision cleared, the illusion shattered. This was not Kavya. Panic surged through him. How had this happened?
The woman stirred, her eyes fluttering opensensing the movement arounf herself. Her gaze met his, and shock replaced sleepiness in her eyes. She sat up abruptly, her hand flying to cover her exposed body. “What the hell?” she exclaimed seeing someone else on her bed , her voice laced with anger and confusion and her head was literally banging literally very badly.
Abhiraj was equally bewildered. His mind raced, trying to piece together the events of the previous night. He had no recollection of how he ended up in this situation. “You drugged me!” he accused, his voice rising.
Her eyes narrowed. “Me? Are you kidding me? I woke up like this too!”
The room was thick with tension. Neither of them could comprehend what had happened. How had they ended up in bed together? A thousand questions swirled in their minds, but no answers were forthcoming.
Abhiraj felt a surge of anger and violation. He had been betrayed, and he didn’t know by whom. The woman, whose name he didn’t even know, was equally distressed. She was a victim in this situation as much as he was.
As the initial shock wore off, a cold dread settled over them both. They were strangers, thrown together in a deeply uncomfortable and compromising situation. And there was no easy way out.But Abhiraj was thinking about something else.
